I’ll admit it - I’m stumped. It feels that I’ve been eating healthier than in December. I have been running more and doing more food logging over the past two weeks since my last weigh-in. Yet I’m up four pounds from my low weight in December. I’ve been getting my water in. Hmmmm… a few thoughts:
- I may have to weigh/measure food more aggressively to be sure my calorie count is accurate. This really makes me sad but, conversely, if it’s as simply as making sure a tablespoon is really a tablespoon, a cup is a cup, etc. that would be pretty awesome.
- I’ve been doing better in my tracking but am still not at 100%. Maybe the things I’m missing in my tracking are making that much of a difference. My marathon training is not very high mileage yet.
- I just started marathon training again three weeks ago - maybe this might result in more water retention. And I’ve been doing more strength training this time around, so it would kind of make sense that there would be more muscle tears/rebuilding going on. But I would think three weeks would be enough time for my body/weight to adjust…?
UPDATE: Just looked at my LoseIt log, and turns out I’ve been reliably logging food 3-4 days a week. Hey, lookit that! Guess I know where I need to improve - what a relief!
