Adventures in movement
Inspired by BenDoesLife. Early thirties, working to get to an average BMI, vegan. Adult-onset runner; completed two marathons with Team In Training and now I can't stop running. Go figure.

Talking it over with T, I realized that I’m running my usual mileage… and I’m eating about the same calories…

…but it’s winter.

I’m not walking the dog as much, mostly because it’s frigging dark out at some ridiculously early hour of the night/late hour of the morning. (Have I mentioned that I hate standard time? I hate the shift of an hour but I LOVE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME.)

In fact, I’m not nearly as active in the winter as in the summer. Pretty much all of my down time is spent sitting unless I’m training.

I had no idea it made that much of a difference, but it makes sense.

This is a new challenge! An active winter - something I’ll admit I have not really done before.

Seriously, I feel so much better about this revelation. I thought I was going nuts.

Tomorrow sunrise 7:39a, sunset 5:13p!
