Darcy loves to run, too. I believe 17 is the longest run I’ve taken her on. She doesn’t do well in warmer weather so she missed out on some of my longest runs last summer. :)

Awwww, what a cutie! I saw your pics you posted of your last run! Is she a Dobie…? Wow, 17, huh? I wonder if Mingus could do that… maybe in the spring when my mileage increases. I agree, I think the summer would be too hot for that long.

I think the walk breaks I take with the intervals makes it a little easier for him. He’s got hip dysplasia in both hips so I try to ramp up his mileage slowly, but the vet says the running has done really great things for his muscle mass on those hips. He’s started countersurfing again since he started running, which he stopped doing when he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia - that’s the kind of problem I can live with!
